Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi said that he greeted the Chief Justice in the open court, but did not receive a response despite waiting for 1.5 hours.
Talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Sohail Afridi said that it was not possible to meet the Chief Justice in Islamabad, so he went to the open court, went to the rostrum and greeted him but did not receive any response.
The Chief Minister further said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf does not practice protest or anarchy politics, but rather peaceful protests are held after exhausting all available options, which is the right of every citizen and party.
Sohail Afridi said that despite waiting for an hour and a half, the Chief Justice did not respond to his greetings. He further said that a request for a medical examination was also submitted to the doctors of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, but it was not approved.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court today, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that he was not getting time to meet the Chief Justice, due to which he himself went to the open court. He said:
“I went to the rostrum in the state of fasting during Ramadan and greeted the Chief Justice, but despite waiting for an hour and a half, I did not receive any response.”
Chief Minister wanted to talk about the early hearing of the cases of the founder of the PTI and various petitions. However, Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar allegedly went into the chamber without listening to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, the sisters of the founder of the PTI, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan were also present in the court.
