CHARSADDA: The dengue outbreak in Charsadda has increased to an alarming level as the number of cases has surpassed the figure of 1000 infected patients.

District Health Office Charsadda said that special wards have been set up in hospitals, and doctors have also been assigned duty to keep vigilant watch over the number of cases and their timely treatment. He said that the public should adopt the preventive measures and must stop the accumulation of clean water in open containers.

He said that dengue mosquito bites mostly 70 percent on body feet area and 30% bites occur on the hands and elbow area, and if these parts of the body are fully covered, then the dengue mosquito cannot infect a person.

He said that dengue prevention is totally in the control of the public, and if timely preventive measures are taken, then it could be controlled easily.

Meanwhile, the infected patients told Pakhtun Digital that they are feeling well after initial treatment, and they are satisfied with the hospital arrangements for the infected people.
