The Markazi Anjuman Imamia Gilgit-Baltistan has strongly condemned what it refers to as the illegitimate aggression by the United States and Israel, expressing solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and appeals to protesters to remain peaceful.
In a statement issued on March 1, 2026, the organization expressed deep sadness over the reported martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, a loss that has deeply affected Muslims worldwide.
The group announced that a protest rally will take place after Friday prayers, starting from the Central Imamia Jamia Masjid Gilgit and proceeding to the designated protest point.
They urged all believers to participate in large numbers.
Additionally, the leaders called on participants to maintain discipline and unity during the demonstration.
