Chief capital city police Peshawar Mian Saeed said that 14 police officers involved in drug smuggling, corruption and illegal business have been suspended in Khyber district.
Orders have been issued to the suspended officials to immediately report to Police Lines District Khyber.
According to Peshawar Police, show cause notices have also been issued to 4 SHOs who neglected their responsibilities. In addition, the DPO Khyber district has been directed to submit a written response within 7 days through an explanation call.
CCPO Peshawar Mian Saeed has said that there is no place for corrupt and corrupt officials in the police, and only honest, dutiful officers and officials will remain in the police force. He clarified that the aim of this initiative is to ensure transparency and high-quality performance in the police.
