A Canadian University has announced a fully funded scholarship program for foreign students, including Pakistani to study in various educational programs.
Laurentian University in Canada has announced scholarships for domestic and international students, especially Pakistanis, in various educational programs.
According to the APP, these scholarships will be provided at undergraduate, master’s and PhD levels, to provide better opportunities for higher education to talented and hardworking students.
According to the university administration, the total value of scholarships for undergraduate students at Laurentian University has been set at 60 thousand Canadian dollars, which will be given at the rate of 15 thousand dollars annually and will be renewable on the basis of satisfactory academic performance.
Graduate teaching assistantship and various fellowships are also being provided for postgraduate students. Financial assistance of up to 10,034 Canadian dollars per year for master’s program students, while up to 14,547 Canadian dollars can be given as an assistantship. The duration of the scholarship for master’s students will be two years, and for PhD students, up to four years.
Eligibility
Regarding eligibility, the university administration says that candidates must meet the academic and faculty requirements of their chosen program. For students applying at the undergraduate level, the previous academic record must be excellent, while for master’s and PhD candidates, a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and at least 75 per cent or a B+ grade will be required.
In some programs, the approval of the supervisor has also been made mandatory.
According to the administration, IELTS is not mandatory for these scholarships; however, other language-related conditions may apply according to the program. Students from all countries of the world, including Pakistan, will be eligible for this scheme.
How to Apply
The last date for submitting applications for scholarships has been set as June 15, 2026. Regarding the application procedure, it has been informed that interested students will first apply for their chosen program through the online portal of Laurentian University. After accepting the admission offer, a visa application will be able to be applied for.
