The price of broiler meat has risen in the city’s open market. Following an increase of Rs 14, the price of chicken meat has gone up from Rs 461 to Rs 475 per kilogram. However, citizens are experiencing some relief in the Ramadan markets, where chicken meat is being sold for Rs 460 per kilogram.

According to official pricing for broilers, the farm rate for live broilers is set at Rs 300 per kilogram, while the wholesale rate is established at Rs 314 per kilogram.

In contrast, the price of eggs has decreased, with eggs now being sold at Rs 236 per dozen, down by Rs 14.

The Federal Minister for Energy, Awais Leghari, has announced that there will be no load shedding during Sehri and Iftar times in the holy month of Ramzan.

The minister announced in his statement, saying that the government is keen to provide maximum relief to the citizens during the holy month of Ramzan. He said that special instructions have been issued to ensure that the flow of electricity is not interrupted during the important times.

The minister said that there will be no power outages during Sehri and Iftar times because all the distribution lines will be functional. He said all distribution companies have been strictly directed to ensure the smooth implementation of the decision.

The government has established a contemporary system for monitoring purposes, which enables it to track feeder operations and oversee electricity management at all times.

The announcement follows directives from the federal government, which aim to assist citizens throughout Ramzan. According to officials, they are doing their best to ensure public safety during the pre-dawn and sunset meal times.

The energy minister has confirmed that the government is doing everything in its power to ensure a continuous supply of electricity while providing relief during the holy month.
