SHANGLA: A dead body of a flood victim was recovered after three months in the tehsil Puran area of Shangla on Monday morning.
According to the Rescue 1122, the dead body of a flood victim who drowned in the deluge on August 15, devastating floods, was recovered from the river.
Rescue 1122, spokesperson Rasool Khan Sharif said that Saman Khan’s body was found in the Khwar Banda River and after fulfilling legal formalities, his body was handed over to his heirs.
He said 3 of the Saman Khan family members were still missing after the floods.
At least 28 people had lost their lives in the August 15 cloudburst-induced floods in Shangla district alone.
Including Saman Khan, seven of the 28 bodies were missing since the disaster hit the area.

Two workers were trapped due to landsliding in a well during excavation work in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kandai, Chakesar of Shangla, on Thursday.
According to locals, four workers were trapped inside a water well due to a landslide in the Kandai area of Shangla district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Local villagers began rescue efforts to retrieve the trapped workers, but they faced difficulties due to a lack of necessary tools, machinery, and expert assistance.
Fortunately, they managed to safely pull two of the four stranded workers out of the well. These workers were then taken to the Rural Health Centre in Chakesar for first aid before being transferred to a larger hospital.
Witnesses reported that the well is approximately 80 feet deep, and with time passed, the chances of survival for the remaining workers were decreasing.
The trapped labourers were identified as Muhammad Abbas and another individual.
