Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has said that special instructions were given by Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to provide full support to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s peaceful political movement.
He said that the PPP always believes in democratic values, political tolerance and the constitutional right to protest, therefore, encouraging any peaceful political activity is part of the party’s policy.
Nasir Hussain Shah further said that the Sindh government does not want political differences to be led to conflict or chaos, rather all political parties have the right to present their positions through dialogue and democratic means.
On the other hand, PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh welcomed this attitude of the PPP and said that this decision is like a breath of fresh air in the current suffocating political environment.
He said that although political differences exist, the demonstration of tolerance and cooperation by a party is a positive development. However, Haleem Adil Sheikh also expressed surprise that the PPP did this decisively for reasons that he and his party are still unable to fully understand.
He said that if this attitude becomes a permanent policy, there can be a positive change in Sindh politics and a decrease in political temperature is possible.
Meanwhile, psychologist Hussain Sajjad Hashmi, while discussing social issues, said that one of the major reasons for mental health problems is the unbalanced and excessive use of social media. He said that negative news, political tension and constant pressure on social media have made the youth, especially the youth, prone to mental stress, anxiety and depression.
Hussain Sajjad Hashmi stressed that there is a dire need to increase awareness about mental health in the society, promote positive dialogue and use social media responsibly so that individuals can live a mentally balanced and healthy life.
