Bangladesh Cricket Board appealed Pakistan to end its boycott against Pak-India match in the best interest of International Cricket.

According to a Gulf News report, a significant turn has come in the T20 World Cup 2026 controversy, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board has requested Pakistan to end the boycott of its match against India. According to reports, BCB President Aminul Islam told Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore that he understood his sentiments and the BCB’s support, but the boycott must be reviewed in the interest of international cricket. ICC Vice Chairman Imran Khawaja was also present on the occasion.

The controversy began when Bangladesh requested to hold its T20 World Cup matches in Sri Lanka instead of India due to threats from Hindu extremists and security concerns, which the pro-India ICC rejected and excluded Bangladesh from the tournament, and replaced it with Scotland.
