Renowned journalist Batool Rajput raised a critical question regarding the deletion of the article “It Is Over” by Zorain Nizamani. She asked whether the removal was due to external pressure or if it was a case of self-censorship by the publication.
In a discussion shared on her YouTube channel, Batool recounted her own experience with self-censorship, noting that certain media outlets have opted not to conduct interviews with politicians. She emphasized the need for the publication to clarify whether the removal of the article was a result of external influence or an act of self-censorship, particularly since the writer had previously published similar articles that remain on the website.
Batool questioned why this particular article was removed, especially since it did not directly target any individuals or institutions. She mentioned that she had approached the publication’s editor for an explanation regarding the article’s removal, but received no response.
