Hackers have hacked the WhatsApp number of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf, Barrister Gohar Ali, after which fake messages asking for money from people on his name are being sent.
Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Barrister Gohar Ali confirmed the incident and said that his WhatsApp number has been hacked and he did not have full control over it. He warned the public to ignore any messages from his number asking for money.
Barrister Gohar Ali further said that some citizens reported over the phone that money was being asked for from their WhatsApp number, due to which the public needs to be extremely careful to avoid any kind of financial loss.
According to the PTI, the investigation into the hacking incident is ongoing and cooperation is being provided to the relevant authorities so that the WhatsApp account can be restored as soon as possible.
This incident is a warning to citizens to be cautious of unknown links, messages and financial requests and to refrain from acting on any suspicious messages.
