ISLAMABAD: Chairman PTI Gohar Ali Khan has said that he was informed after Imran Khan’s medical examination at PIMS, but was not informed in advance.
According to Barrister Gohar, he received a message at around 2 am informing him that the PTI founder had been shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for an injection.

He tweeted on his X (Twitter) that he was not taken into confidence before this medical procedure.
Barrister Gohar Khan (@BarristerGohar) February 24, 2026
Chairman PTI reiterated the demand that a complete medical examination of PTI founder Imran Khan be conducted at Shifa International Hospital in the presence of his personal doctors and family.
Barrister Gauhar said that this demand is being made not only by the party but also by the founder’s family. He said that the founder should be shifted to Shifa International Hospital and all future medical examinations should be done under the supervision of his personal doctors.
On the other hand, according to the executive director of PIMS, the founder of PTI was brought to the hospital for a follow-up in connection with eye treatment, where he was given a second dose of anti-VEGF intravitreal injection.
The statement said that his condition remained stable during the procedure and necessary medical supervision was provided.
According to officials, all the steps were completed under standard medical protocols, while the party leadership’s demand for transparent medical supervision is being discussed in political circles.
