Bara Plantation effort fails to take root as Saplings planted near Bara media center have been discarded.

Planted at a cost of million of rupees in Bara Central locality come close to complete extinction due to lack of protection and negligence of the concerned departments.

These plants planted with tall claims during the plantation campaign which have now dried up, while stray donkeys, bulls and goats are grazing them at various places and causing damage.

According to local sources, the Forest Department, Agriculture Department, District Administration and TMO Bara have not made any effective arrangements for the maintenance, watering and cleaning of these plants.

Neither a gardener was deployed nor a protective fence was erected around the plants, due to which the plants planted at a cost of million of rupees were lost.

Citizens say that huge funds spent every year in the name of plantation campaign, but no attention is paid to the protection of these plants.

Public circles have demanded that action be taken against the responsible departments and that steps be taken in the future so that tree planting is not limited to paperwork but is truly effective in improving the environment.
