ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy.
During their discussion, the two leaders addressed the latest developments in the region. Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. He also brought attention to the Pakistan-China five-point initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
Foreign Minister Al Zayani expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in advancing dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace and stability.

In response to a recent statement by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the Iranian official’s clarification about Pakistan’s role in ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar referred to Araghchi as his “dear brother,” highlighting the strong ties of friendship and respect between Pakistan and Iran. This response came after Araghchi publicly acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contributions and unwavering commitment to peace negotiations, countering earlier claims that suggested Pakistan was ‘irrelevant’ to the diplomatic process.
