CHARSADD (Alaf Khan Sherpawa): Bacha Khan University has expelled four students from its pharmacy department following an investigation into alleged anti-state activities and a controversial public performance on campus.
The University administration issued the expulsion orders on Friday, following a recommendation from the University Disciplinary Committee.
The decision was reached after the students were accused of raising hostile slogans against the state and performing the national anthem of India within university premises. The administration also cited the filming and dissemination of the incident on social media platforms as a primary reason for the disciplinary action.
The expelled students have been identified as Jibran Riaz, Syed Katib Shah, Bashir Khan, and Murad Khan. University officials stated that the actions of these individuals were in direct violation of statutory regulations and were intended to provoke unrest among the student body.
In addition to their permanent expulsion from the university, the students’ hostel allotments have been cancelled. The provost’s office has instructed the security and hostel management to ensure the students vacate the campus immediately. Copies of the directive have been forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor and other relevant department heads for immediate enforcement.
