ISLAMABAD: The Azerbaijan government has opened applications for fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies.

According to an official announcement from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, the initiative is part of the “Heydar Aliyev International Educational Grant Program” for the 2026 and 2027 academic sessions.

The program aims to foster educational exchange between the two nations, offering a comprehensive package for high-achieving students. The HEC confirmed that several prestigious universities in Azerbaijan are participating in this grant, which covers all major academic levels, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs.

The scholarship is entirely merit-based and provides extensive financial support to successful candidates, including:

  • Airfare: One international flight per year.

  • Living Expenses: A monthly stipend to cover meals, accommodation, and utility costs.

  • Health Coverage: Medical insurance valued at 200 AZN.

  • Administrative Fees: Full coverage of Visa and Registration fees.
