Heavily armed counter terrorism police rammed into a car to arrest seven people accused of planning violence on Bondi Beach just days after the deadly terror attack.

Footage shows counter-terrorism police armed with long-arm guns arresting and handcuffing the accused. A white car with significant damage to the driver’s side front and rear doors and the front hood. It is understood that a police Land Cruiser was used to ram a white Hyundai carrying some of them. They were seen on the ground handcuffed after cops successfully intercepted them at an intersection in Liverpool city.

Local media reports that the New South Wales police received intelligence that the individuals were planning to go to Bondi Beach after having travelled from Melbourne. Authorities revealed that “a violent act was possibly being planned,” but said they had not found any connection to the current police investigation into the Bondi terror attack.

Cops said the arrest was a cautious approach in the wake of the Bondi shooting. A police statement read: “Tactical Operations police responded to information received that a violent act was possibly being planned “Police subsequently intercepted two cars as part of the investigation. “As investigations continue, seven men are assisting police with their inquiries.
