PESHAWAR: Babar Saleem Swati, the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, firmly rejected rumors about the party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) being divided, adding that all attempts to do so would ultimately fail.
While talking to the media, Speaker KP Assembly said that yes, certain individuals have been misleading the public and spreading baseless rumors over the last several days to create a crack in PTI’s ranks. However, PTI’s composition is solid, and the entire party remains loyal to Imran Khan and the notion of public service.
“We have a leader in jail who should not be in jail, and the calling of his release: that is not just a demand, this is our mandate from the public,” he explained.
Babar Saleem went on to say that everyone in PTI, not just the leadership but the workers as well, respects the decisions of the party and will not accept disorganization and dissent.
Swati reiterated that PTI is a party of discipline, facts and unity, all of which will allow the party to move the pylons towards its goal; namely, the release of Imran Khan.
