HANGU (Syed Fakhr Kaka Khel): Unknown assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Maulana Abdul Wahid Khatib, the Provincial Amir of Jamiat Ulema Islam (S), in the Darsmand area of Hangu district.
According to police, two of Maulana Khatib’s grandsons, aged 6 and 8, were injured in the attack. Fortunately, Maulana Khatib and his sons escaped unharmed.
The injured children were quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation and deployed teams to track down the attackers.
Police are urging locals to share any information that could help identify and apprehend the culprits.
