LAHORE: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Lahore Garrison on Thursday, where he was received by Corps Commander Lahore, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR statement said that during the visit, the field marshal was given a detailed briefing on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards and measures being undertaken to further enhance its combat capability. He also observed a special field training exercise, appreciating the troops’ high level of preparedness and professionalism.
The field marshal later visited the High Care Centre at CMH Lahore, where he inspected medical, sports and recreational facilities provided for soldiers. The medical staff and administration briefed him on the fully modern and standard healthcare facilities established at the centre.
Praising the efforts of the medical staff and administration, Field Marshal Munir underscored the Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy against any threat to national security. He said the armed forces were promoting a culture of high standards, discipline and selfless national service.
Reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal security, the field marshal said the army would continue to face multifaceted challenges with full focus, professionalism and strong determination to maintain stability.
