PESHAWAR: Former Speaker of the National Assembly, Central leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Secretary General of Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, Asad Qaiser, has welcomed the Pakistan-Afghanistan Peace Agreement held in Doha, Qatar.

He stated that Afghanistan is our brotherly Islamic and close neighbouring country, bound to Pakistan through deep religious, cultural, and historical ties.

Mr Asad Qaiser emphasised that all existing grievances between the two brotherly countries should be resolved through mutual trust and cooperation. PTI leader highlighted that from the very beginning, Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had maintained the stance that relations with Afghanistan should be built on dialogue, peace, and cooperation rather than confrontation.

He further said that continued dialogue was essential to eliminate terrorism, encourage bilateral trade, and create employment opportunities for the public. He emphasised that Afghanistan serves as Pakistan’s only land route to Central Asian markets, and by strengthening Pakistan-Afghanistan trade relations, both nations could move toward progress and prosperity.

Asad Qaiser further asserted that stronger Pak-Afghan relations could lay the foundation for lasting peace, economic stability, employment generation, and poverty reduction across the region. He expressed hope that following this peace agreement, mutual trust between the two countries would deepen, borders would open for trade, and constructive progress would continue on all pending issues.
