The Islamabad District and Sessions Courts have issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for his non-appearance in a case of making misleading allegations against state institutions and damaging the reputation of the institutions.

The case was heard by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah. During this, the court expressed strong displeasure over the non-appearance of the accused in the court and ordered the arrest of Sohail Afridi and his production in the court.

The court has adjourned further hearing of the case till March 26. It may be recalled that the National Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a case against Sohail Afridi under the PECA Act, in which he is accused of making misleading allegations against state institutions and damaging the reputation of the institutions.

The court has strictly ordered the law enforcement agencies to arrest Sohail Afridi and produce him before March 26, 2026. On the other hand, the Chief Minister has intensified efforts to obtain protective bail from the Peshawar High Court, however, the order of the Islamabad Sessions Court is still in force.
