PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has submitted an attention notice in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly raising concerns over a reported $500 million agreement between the United States and the provincial government.
According to the notice, a copy of which is available with Pakhtun Digital, Awami National Party MLA Arbab Muhammad Usman has submitted an attention notice concerning an agreement signed with an American company for the acquisition of copper, neodymium, praseodymium, and other precious minerals.
The notice inquires whether the usual legal procedures and contract regulations have been fully followed in this agreement, and if the local population was consulted about the project.

Additionally, the government is requested to clarify the financial impact of this agreement on the regional economy and to explain how the local community will benefit from the project.
