SWAT: Awami National Party leader Mumtaz Ali Khan survived a blast, which targeted his car in the Shakardara area of Swat on Wednesday.
According to the DPO Swat, the vehicle was slightly damaged in the explosion, and there were no casualties. Initial investigations have revealed that explosives were planted on the road. Police said the explosion occurred near the car of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mumtaz Ali Khan in the Shakardara area of Tehsil Matta, but fortunately, the leader was safe.
The police immediately inspected the scene with a heavy contingent of police and cordoned off the area. The DPO Swat said that further investigation into the incident is underway, and efforts are being made to arrest those responsible for the explosion.
The local administration and security forces have put the area on high security alert to deal with any possible threat. Following the blast, the ANP and other political circles have announced that to will ensure the security of the leader and strongly condemn such attacks.
Security has been increased in Matta tehsil, and the local people have been advised to keep vigilant watch over miscreant elements.

BAJAUR: The Awami National Party (ANP) tehsil leader was gunned down by unknown assailants near the Khazana turn in Bajaur.
According to the police, Malik Mir Azam Khan, the vice president of the Awami National Party for Tehsil Khar chapter, was on his way home when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire, killing him instantly.
The Rescue 1122 officials said that the assailants targeted him from a motorcycle. Malik Mir Azam Khan sustained a gunshot wound to the head, resulting in his death at the scene.
The Awami National Party has expressed deep sorrow over the incident and demanded a thorough investigation and the apprehension of those responsible.
Two months ago, Maulana Khanzeb, a former candidate and provincial office bearer of the Awami National Party, was shot dead in his hometown of Bajaur.
