Upper Dir: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, as well as President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, attended the oath-taking ceremony of the Tehsil Bar in Shringal, Upper Dir, and addressed the legal community.
In his speech, Minister Muqam acknowledged the significant role that lawyers have played in the history of Pakistan, particularly in upholding the Constitution, the rule of law, and democracy. He expressed appreciation for the contributions of the legal community and emphasised that the current government is committed to addressing the issues faced by lawyers, with practical steps being taken in this regard.
He also cautioned against certain individuals who may attempt to use lawyers for personal gain, reminding the audience that lawyers are symbols of justice, law, and awareness in society.

Additionally, Minister Muqam announced a special grant for the Shringal Bar, which was met with appreciation from the legal community, who viewed it as a positive initiative for the improvement of the bar. At the conclusion of the ceremony, bar officials thanked Minister Muqam. They expressed their hope that the government would continue to play a constructive role in resolving the challenges faced by lawyers.
