PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Local Government, Meena Khan Afridi, and Special Assistant Shafi Jan held a joint press conference to assert that the allegations against Chief Minister Sohail Afridi are baseless and misleading.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Meena Khan Afridi and Special Assistant Shafi Jan, during a press conference, said that the allegations made against Chief Minister Sohail Afridi are baseless and misleading.

Meena Khan Afridi said that Ikhtiar Wali yesterday made false allegations against Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, which have nothing to do with reality. He said that all tactics have failed, and Sohail Afridi is discharging his responsibilities as Chief Minister well.

He said that Sohail Afridi was present in Peshawar on May 9, but a fabricated narrative is being created against him. According to the provincial minister, the first meeting of the cabinet will approve a commission to investigate the Radio Pakistan incident so that the real facts come out.

Special Assistant Shafiq Jan said that fake coordinator Ikhtiar Wali played a fake video on TV, through which the facts were distorted. He said, “Our seats were snatched away, but now Sohail Afridi’s chief ministership is not digestible by those people.”

Shafiq Jan further said that Sohail Afridi has not had any contact or meeting with the PTI founder, and the video that was played yesterday is of the march.

On this occasion, Meena Khan Afridi said that the May 9 incident was a planned trap for the PTI. He further said that after the next meeting with the PTI founder, a decision will be taken to include more ministers in the cabinet.
