President appoints Allama Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi as Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology
The appointment was made under Article 228 of the Constitution. Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi was appointed as Chairman for a period of three years.The Ministry of Law and Justice issued an official notification.
The President of Pakistan, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, appointed Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi as a member and appointed him as Chairman for a period of three years.
Earlier, this post fell vacant on November 1, 2025.Dr. Naeemi had retired as Chairman of the Council, along with 8 other members of the Council, upon completion of their term.
