PESHAWAR: All is set for the Senate Election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) on Shibli Faraz’s vacant seat tomorrow.
According to the details, Senate elections on the vacant seat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shibli Faraz in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held tomorrow, for which the final list of candidates has been released. According to the announcement of the Election Commission, voting will continue in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
A total of five candidates are in the run for this seat, of which Khurram Zeeshan has been nominated for the Senate by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. It should be noted that the Supreme Court has rejected the petition to stop the Senate elections in Shibli Faraz’s vacant seat. The court dismissed the Peshawar High Court’s decision on Shibli Faraz’s appeal and directed the High Court to decide on Shibli Faraz’s pending application. These elections could prove to be a turning point in provincial politics, and a tough contest is expected between the government and opposition parties.
