Aimal Wali Khan slams rulers for recent storm of Inflation and said that people are suffering from inflation while Federal government led by Shehbaz Sharif is engaged in irresponsible dramas to put extra burden on poor masses.
Awami National Party Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan has said that the people of Pakistan are drowning in the storm of inflation and the government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is constantly engaged in drama from above by putting an irresponsible burden on the people.
The government first took an irrational, undemocratic and anti-people step and suddenly increased the price by Rs 137 per liter, now it has been reduced by Rs 80 by announcing a partial reduction, but the fact is that the people are still bearing the additional burden of Rs 80 on every liter.
This is a game with the public psyche, in which first pressure is exerted by making an extraordinary increase and then the partial reduction is presented in the name of ‘relief’. The central president of ANP said that according to the global market, the price of petrol in Pakistan should have been Rs 298 per liter, but the government has attacked the pockets of the people by setting it at Rs 458 yesterday and now at Rs 378.
Diesel prices have also been increased to Rs 520 per liter, which has further widened the scope of inflation by affecting transport and essential goods. Now the best administrator in the world, Shahbaz Sharif, should tell us that inflation is directly related to diesel prices, what is the government’s policy in this regard? Today, even the middle-class citizen is lost in thoughts about how he will spend the next month.
While fulfilling the conditions of the IMF, the government is taking away the right to live from the common man. When there is no common man, then for whom is the country taking loans from the IMF? In Iran, where war is ongoing, prices are not being increased, but here all resources are being used to destroy and ruin the people. Senator Aimal Wali Khan said that the ANP demands that the government provide real and permanent relief instead of temporary and fraudulent announcements. The people need vision, experience and responsible governance, not irrational policies and drama.
