ISLAMABAD: Google has officially announced the launch of the Google AI Professional Certificate Program in Pakistan. The industry-recognized certification program will train professionals to acquire essential AI skills that help them implement AI technology in their work.

The program goes beyond basic theory and focuses on the practical applications of AI, helping individuals gain the hands-on skills required to use AI tools in real-world scenarios.

According to Google, artificial intelligence is reshaping global economies which creates a growing requirement for professionals who possess skills to implement this fundamental technology. The field of artificial intelligence encounters difficulties because it lacks sufficiently trained professionals.

A study conducted by Ipsos together with Google found that approximately 70% of managers consider a trained AI workforce essential for company success, yet only 14% of employees have received AI training. The new certificate program will establish the required educational framework to fulfill this requirement.

The program uses “learning through practice” as its core teaching method which enables participants to complete more than 20 hands-on learning modules. Participants will also receive free three-month access to Google AI Pro tools to enhance their learning experience. The access enables learners to work with Google’s latest AI models while using those models in Google Docs, Gmail and Google Sheets.

The certification program consists of 6 comprehensive courses which lead to a final project that Google experts and AI professionals designed. The program allows busy professionals to complete their studies according to their own schedule while finishing all course material in under 10 hours of total learning time.

Participants who complete the program will receive digital certificates for each module which they can share on LinkedIn to demonstrate their skills.

Google states that the curriculum is based on job data available in the market and has been endorsed by leading employers.
