ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Sherry Rehman, says that the defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is an important and historic milestone.
Talking to media Sherry Rehman said that the defence agreement clearly states that an attack on one country will be considered an attack on the other. Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan has convinced the world after the Battle of Marak-e-Haq that it can defend itself against anyone.
She said that Israel and India are making fun of the world, if there is any improvement in Pakistan, India gets very angry. She said that India should think for itself, look at its country and look at its defence, India got a response from Pakistan in the form of Operation Bunyan Marsus. A major defence agreement has been reached between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which was signed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The agreement reflects the common determination of both countries to increase their security, and to achieve peace and security in the region and the world.
The declaration said that the agreement aims to strengthen joint defence and security against any aggression. Aggression against any country will be considered aggression against both countries. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held an important meeting in which Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other ministers also participated. Bilateral relations and defence cooperation were discussed in the meeting. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman assured Pakistan of full cooperation.
