PESHAWAR: The recent sit-in by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on the Swabi Motorway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has caused significant administrative changes. DPO Swabi, Ziauddin Ahmed, has been transferred as a result.
An official notification issued today states that Ziauddin Ahmed has been removed from his position, effective immediately and assigned as DPO of Dera Ismail Khan. In his place, DPO Bajaur, Waqas Rafique, has been appointed as the new police chief of Swabi.
Additionally, the notification reveals changes in other districts. Muhammad Khalid has been dismissed from his role as SSP Coordination Peshawar and has been assigned as DPO of Bajaur. Meanwhile, DPO DI Khan, Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, and AIG Logistics, Muhammad Ayaz, have been directed to report to the CPO for further assignments.
