The Afghan Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the bomb blast that occurred during Friday prayers in a mosque in Rawalpindi .
A condolence statement issued by the Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed deep sorrow and regret over the deaths and injuries of several worshippers as a result of the blast.
The statement said that targeting mosques and sacred religious rituals is an inhuman act that has no place in any society. The Afghan Foreign Ministry expressed its heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
It should be noted that the tragic incident took place at a local mosque in Islamabad when a large number of worshippers were present there.
