DELHI: Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has called on Pakistan’s government to open the Wagah border for trade between Afghanistan and India.

Addressing a news conference in Delhi, India, on Friday, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has called on Pakistan to open the Wagah border for Afghan traders to improve trade between Afghanistan and India.
In his statement, Amir Khan Muttaqi said that the Afghan government requests that both Pakistan and India make the Wagah border accessible for Afghan trade, as this move can help promote economic ties in the region.
He said that trade should be kept separate from politics because business activities directly benefit the people and stabilise the economy.
