Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan has confirmed that he has recently married, putting an end to speculation after his appearance with a woman at a public event. The event video had gone viral on social media, forcing him to explain to his fans.
Senior Cricket Player and captain of the Afghanistan team shared a statement about his second marriage on Instagram on Tuesday. Rashid wrote, “I began a new and meaningful chapter of my life. I had my nikkah done and married a woman who embodies the love, peace and partnership I always hoped for.”

The cricketer explained that his wife had accompanied him to a charity event and expressed disappointment over the rumours that followed. “It’s unfortunate to see assumptions being made from something so simple. The truth is straightforward — she is my wife and we stand together with nothing to hide,” he said.
Rashid also thanked fans for their continued kindness, support, and understanding during this new chapter of his life.
The 27-year-old, widely regarded as one of the top spin bowlers in world cricket, continues to play a leading role for Afghanistan in international competitions and various T20 leagues worldwide.
