Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the Punjab government will strictly enforce loud Loudspeaker Act and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
It has been decided to strictly enforce the Loudspeaker Act to maintain law and order in Punjab. CCTV monitoring and digital surveillance will be carried out to prevent hatred and incitement.
The Punjab government also made it clear that there is no ban on any religious party except elements with sedition and extremist thinking. Religious parties can continue their activities without hindrance in accordance with the code of conduct. The government will fully patronize parties that support religious harmony.
In an extraordinary meeting on law and order, it was decided that strict action will be taken against those who possess or hide illegal weapons in Punjab, and the PECA Act will be activated against those who spread hatred, lies, and incitement on social media.
Special units have also been activated to monitor hateful content on digital platforms. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz made it clear that Punjab is a cradle of peace, and the province will not be allowed to become a battlefield of chaos.
