PESHAWAR: Polling process underway for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council elections, which will last from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM today, Saturday.

 A total of 103 candidates are in the contest for a total of 28 seats of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, while 37 candidates are in the fray for seven cabinet seats. A total of 47 polling stations have been set up in the province, Bar Council. Entry of civilians and law students is banned in the Peshawar High Court premises.

The Peshawar High Court Bar has issued directives to the police not to allow the petitioner today to complete the electoral process peacefully.

Entry of leaders of all political parties is also banned during polling. Lawyers are instructed not to bring their security guards and personal employees to the High Court. Only Bar Council cardholders are allowed to enter the Peshawar High Court premises. A two-member committee has been formed to deal with any untoward incident during the elections.
