PESHAWAR: Unknown assailants killed a young security guard of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system near the Mira Khachori area of Chamkani police station in Peshawar. The motive for the murder has yet to be ascertained.
According to the police, unidentified suspects opened fire in the Mira Kachori Nehr Ghara area, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Asim, son of Akhtar Gul, who was a resident of Mira Kachori. The deceased was an employee of BRT Peshawar and was returning home after completing his duties.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, SHO Ismat Khan and Investigation Officer Ali Akbar Khan from Chamkani Police Station quickly arrived at the scene, inspected it, and collected all available evidence.
The police reported that Asim’s motorcycle, ATM card, and cash were found at the scene. They are currently obtaining CCTV footage of the incident and have launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the underlying reasons for the attack.
