San Francisco: Without much noise, Facebook, the largest social media platform globally with billions of users, has made a significant change in the user experience of content creation and sharing.
Despite the fact that Meta has not officially announced the update, users have started to see a direct integration of the AI-powered image generation tool in the Facebook post composer.
The company has been gradually incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its services and now the Meta AI assistant is available not only through chat or other separate tools but it can be used to generate custom images within Facebook posts.
There is a new AI button in the “What’s on your mind?” post box which is the bottom right next to the emoji icon. A simple tap on the button lets the users create images with the help of the text they provide.
After submitting text instructions, Meta AI provides four different images from which to select. Users may then alter the pictures using the AI editing tools offered on the left side of the screen. Once the final touches have been made, the user can simply press “Done” to upload the image to their post.
According to Meta, the new feature is currently only available to a few people as it is being rolled out gradually. But, they are expecting that the feature will be available to a wide range of users in a few days or weeks.
