PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Sohail Afridi expresses reservations over provincial decisions in informal meeting with Corps Commander, hints at formulating his own plan of action on non-compliance with the constitution and supremacy of law.
According to details, former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi expressed reservations over the provincial government’s decisions in an informal meeting with the Corps Commander. The Corps Commander had come to congratulate Sohail Afridi at the Chief Minister’s House, during which the two had an informal discussion.
Sohail Afridi said during the meeting that if the constitution was not implemented, he will formulate his own plan of action. He specifically objected to the implementation of closed-room decisions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that the provincial government should not be excluded from consultations on important operations and other important matters.
Sohail Afridi’s rhetoric makes it clear that there is tension between the implementation of decisions and the consultation process at the provincial and federal levels.
