The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court has issued orders to seize the identity card and passport of Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan.

The case against Aleema Khan, including 11 other accused, in connection with the November 26 protest, was heard in the court of Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

Despite the notice, Aleema Khan could not appear in court, while non-bailable arrest warrants had already been issued against her. The court remarked that Aleema Khan is seen in several places but does not appear before the court.

The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants four times for Aleema Khan’s failure to appear and has also ordered the seizure of her bail bonds. The court had issued a show-cause notice to Aleema Khan’s guarantor, Umar Sharif, and directed him to submit a reply by October 24.

Aleema Khan refused to move to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that when they came to arrest her through the Islamabad High Court yesterday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities asked her to go with them to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to which Aleema Khan said that she had not even obtained her bail, and if she was to be arrested, this process would not be in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Aleema Khan alleged that the actions of an SHO with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi were taken under pressure from Maryam Nawaz. She said that Maryam Nawaz is preventing the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from coming to Punjab, so that the arrival of the Punjab Chief Minister would be affected, and the steps to enter Maryam Nawaz’s residence in Changla Gali could be stopped.

Aleema Khan said that Maryam Nawaz is trying to influence the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on her decisions.
