PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly unanimously passed a resolution, seeking Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s meeting with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
The resolution was presented in the house by the ruling party lawmaker, Obaid-ur-Rehman, demanding that the founder of the PTI be allowed to meet his family and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the text of the resolution, Sohail Afridi is currently the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and it is his constitutional and legal right to meet the founding chairman, so that direct consultations can be held on the problems of the province, development projects and other government matters.
The house passed the resolution unanimously.
