PESHAWAR: Renowned Pashto singer and Tiktoker Shahsawar has been arrested by Gulbahar Police Station officials over allegedly using inappropriate language and abusive remarks on social media.
According to police, action was taken against the singer over his alleged use of offensive and abusive language on social media platforms.
Police stated that violations of the law would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The police emphasized the importance of respecting social norms and adhering to the law while expressing opinions on social media.
Another TikToker Taken into Custody
Earlier, Peshawar police have detained a man for allegedly uploading videos on TikTok that are described as objectionable and contrary to social norms.
According to police, the man was using the social media platform to upload content considered inappropriate. Police said they took action after monitoring his online activity and took him into custody. Police said they are monitoring the misuse of social media and will take legal action against individuals found violating the law or using online platforms for inappropriate content.
The latest action comes amid previous cases in which Peshawar police have detained individuals over allegedly objectionable or indecent material shared on TikTok. Police have urged social media users to use online platforms responsibly and remain mindful of applicable laws and social norms.
