PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has published a list of Class 9 students being considered for free Chromebooks under the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan Initiative.

According to an official notification, the board has shared the details of eligible candidates who appeared in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual-I Examination 2026 with the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) in Islamabad.

The board has instructed heads of affiliated government schools to review the published list and verify students’ academic and personal information to facilitate the distribution process.

Under the initiative, digital devices will be provided to qualifying students enrolled in public-sector educational institutions to support technology-based learning.

Students from the Science group who secured at least 424 marks and those from the Arts group with 315 or more marks have been identified for consideration, according to eligibility details circulated with the announcement. However, these thresholds have not been independently confirmed as universal criteria in the board’s official notification. Schools have therefore been advised to consult the published list before determining eligibility.

To complete verification, school heads must fill out the prescribed form with accurate details, including students’ names, B-Form numbers, examination roll numbers, board registration numbers, marks and school information.

They must also submit students’ marksheets, attested copies of their B-Forms and attested copies of their parents’ or guardians’ CNICs.
