ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued guidelines for parents applying for a juvenile identity card for the first time for their children.

Parents have been advised to prepare the required documents before visiting a NADRA registration centre, while applying for juvenile identity cards for their children.

According to NADRA, when applying for a juvenile identity card for their children, parents have to provide the original identity card number or other legally recognized identity document of the child’s mother or father. Form B (Child Registration Certificate) must be submitted. If it is unavailable, the CRMS number of the attested computerized birth certificate has to be provided instead.

Applicants whose children were born outside Pakistan must provide the relevant attested documents, including an S1 form or a citizenship or immigration certificate, as applicable. The identity of one parent must be verified through biometric authentication, and the child must be present at the time of submitting the application.

NADRA has advised parents to visit their nearest registration center to complete the application process. For further information, citizens can contact NADRA’s helpline at 1777 or visit its official website: www.nadra.gov.pk.
