PESHAWAR: Amid border skirmishes and Pakistan’s objection regarding the presence of miscreants in the porous border region and its imminent threat to Pakistan, Qatar is going to host talks between the Pakistan and the Afghan government today in Doha.
Qatar had offered to mediate between both parties to avoid potential clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan on their long border, where Pakistan blamed the Afghan government for using its soil against Pakistan. According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, it has been reported from the Afghan Taliban’s social media account that talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be held in Doha on Friday.
According to the details, the delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, led by Defence Minister Maulvi Muhammad Yaqub Mujahid, and several security and intelligence officials from Pakistan will participate in the talks in Doha today, Friday. Pakistan has not yet shared details about these talks.
