Meta is set to introduce a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature on Facebook that will allow users to customise the content they see in their feeds and Reels according to their interests and preferences.
The feature, called Your Algorithm, was initially introduced on Instagram and is now being rolled out for Facebook users, according to Meta.
The new tool will enable users to describe in their own words the type of content they want to see, allowing them to adjust the platform’s recommendations to better match their interests.
Meta has also updated Facebook’s three-dot menu, where users will be able to access Your Algorithm and use the Interested and Not Interested options to indicate their content preferences.
According to the company, the feature may ask users additional questions to better understand their interests and refine content recommendations accordingly.
The move aims to give users greater control over their Facebook experience by making their feeds and Reels more relevant to their individual preferences.
