ISLAMABAD: Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan may see another reduction on October 15, with petrol expected to become cheaper by Rs2.30 per litre and diesel by 17 paisa per litre, according to the reported estimates.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to determine petroleum product prices on Wednesday, October 14.
The anticipated adjustment follows a government announcement a day earlier that reduced the prices of petroleum products.
Current Petrol and Diesel Prices
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol prices were reduced by Rs2.71 per litre, bringing the current rate to Rs392.66 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel was cut by just three paisa per litre, taking its current price to Rs396.82 per litre.
Further Relief for Consumers Expected
If the latest estimates materialise, consumers could receive additional relief from October 15, particularly petrol users.
However, the expected reductions have not yet been confirmed, and motorists will have to wait for the official announcement to know the final prices.
The revised rates will depend on the outcome of the price determination process and the government’s final decision.
