ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has postponed the General Recruitment Phase-III 2026 tests scheduled to be held in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) from October 12 to 19, citing the prevailing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a public notice issued by the commission on Sunday, the decision was taken in view of the current circumstances and requests received from candidates and local supervisory staff.
The FPSC said the postponement applies only to the tests scheduled in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan during the specified period.
However, examinations in all other provinces and regions will be conducted according to the previously announced schedule.
The commission clarified that a revised schedule for the postponed tests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be announced later.
Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official FPSC website for updates regarding the new examination dates and further announcements.
The commission has urged applicants to stay informed through its official channels to avoid missing important information about their recruitment tests.
Important Update for Students as Matric Exams Are Postponed
Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bannu has postponed the Matric Annual Second Examinations 2026, which were scheduled to begin on Monday.
According to an official notification issued by the Bannu Board, the examinations have been postponed, and a new schedule will be announced later.
The rescheduling of examinations will have an impact on the students appearing in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan and the adjacent areas.
The dates for the rescheduled examinations have not been announced yet by the Board.
BISE Swat Postpones SSC Annual-II 2026 Exams
Earlier, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Saidu Sharif Swat has postponed the SSC Annual-II Examination 2026.
According to notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, BISE Saidu Sharif Swat, the exams scheduled to be held from October 12, 2026, have been postponed.
The Board said that the revised schedule and new date sheet for the conduct of the SSC Annual-II 2026 examinations will be announced later by the Board.
All students, parents, heads of educational institutions, superintendents, deputy superintendents and invigilators are advised to follow the upcoming instructions to be issued by the Board regarding the examinations.
The Board also advised students, parents and other concerned persons that for new exam dates and other necessary information, they should visit the official website of the Board www.bisess.edu.pk and the official Facebook page, and avoid any unverified information.
