PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly Shahid Khattak has claimed that Sohail Afridi and Junaid Akbar have been taken into custody, amid reports of significant political developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to other information provided, Sohail Afridi and Junaid Akbar voluntarily surrendered on the condition that they would be placed in protective custody. However, the circumstances surrounding their reported surrender and the nature of the custody arrangement have not been independently verified.

The claims have emerged amid reports concerning a possible change in the PTI-led provincial government and the political position of Sohail Afridi, adding to uncertainty surrounding the province’s political situation.
